- EU PPWR: Starting from 2026, single-use plastic packaging must contain no less than 30% recycled materials. By 2030, all such packaging shall be fully recyclable with recycled material content ranging from 35% to 65%.
- EU Green Claims Directive: Vague environmental descriptions such as "eco-friendly" and "sustainable" are prohibited. Enterprises are required to provide GRS certification, recyclability reports and LCA data.
- US FTC Guidelines: Claims of "recyclable" must be supported by proof of local recycling infrastructure; claims of "biodegradable" need to specify applicable conditions and degradation cycles.
- New Chinese Rules: The Guidelines for Green Design of Cosmetic Packaging has come into force, setting clear requirements for packaging reduction, recyclability and recycled material proportion.
